Crustacean
Can you see me,
my wannabe,
sidestepping fate’s
intimacy?
Once well down hidden
below that stone,
pierced new life bidden,
soared from the lone.
I shed that crust,
disclose the lust,
unwind my heart,
create all art.
There I’m all bare,
please, take good care,
that … secret affair
I come to share.
On the edge
of love’s long knife
I am intimate
of life.
I dedicate this piece to my beloved father, Hans-Eberhard Blume, for his 92nd birthday. Safe travels, here and beyond!
